Jordan: Refugee Program Provides Stability to Area Refugees

The Levant is home to some four million refugees.   Palestinians still are waiting for a durable solution to the loss of their land after 60 years of conflict and are now joined by people who have fled violence and insecurity in Iraq.  Others from Somalia, Sudan, and Chechnya also have landed in Amman.  Those recently arriving have witnessed terrible events and experienced great loss both physically and mentally, and the impact of these events will last generations.  CARE Jordan’s goal is to provide effective response to affected individuals and families during their period of displacement so that they have the opportunity to recover dignity and well-being in order to rebuild their lives while they wait for conditions under which it will be safe to return home.  Learn more about CARE Jordan's commitment in this important area in our Refugee Programme Booklet.pdf
